About

Rich Talbert
Grove City Borough Councilman
I was elected in 2005 to serve the residents of Ward Five. Since that time, I have worked to keep taxes low, including a 37.5% reduction in property taxes last year. Grove City Borough has not raised property taxes in 28 years! We have also kept utility rates the lowest in the area by making strategic buying decisions and investing in our infrastructure.
I’ve also worked with the Fixed-Base Operators to turn the Grove City Regional Airport into a thriving operation. Our hangar capacity has doubled, the skydiving operations are extremely busy, and we attracted STATMedevac to set up a base in order to provide quick air ambulance support for the region.
We formed the Technology Committee to create the borough’s first Web site, http://www.grovecityonline.com/. Residents and visitors are now able to find out many aspects about the borough, as well as perform several essential services. We modernized many aspects of the borough’s computing systems, as well.
I represented the borough in the fight against Tri-County Industries’ trash mountain. I have teamed up with citizens, businesses, and political leaders from the region to keep this safety and environmental nightmare from coming to fruition.
With your support, I’m looking forward to how far we can go in the coming years! Join me in making Grove City even better!
